My son Adam loves to do lots of different things, but I dare say that nothing surpasses his love of the ocean and the opportunity he gets to spend a lot of time in and around it each July for several weeks. He becomes a different person at the beach. He talks more, he interacts more, he laughs more. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a happy kid pretty much all the time but it seems like when he’s at the beach everything is just right. I wanted to share a few shots I got of him last week on his boogie board. Adam’s pretty much a self-taught wave rider. He could spend hours and hours riding the waves and drinking in the salt water. I love photographing children especially when they are in their element just enjoying themselves. When they are allowed to be who they are and not told what to do or how to pose.
